About Me

I am a writer, teacher, and educational consultant. I have taught for nearly twenty years in a wide range of settings, from private elementary schools in the San Francisco Bay Area to public high schools in Lower Manhattan. I founded Sparkjoy Consulting and began freelancing in 2015.

I studied creative writing at Stanford as an undergraduate which included a creative writing tutorial with a professor at Oxford. I have two masters degrees in Education. I have two biological children and hundreds of former students.
